Living Classical with Tyler Kline for November 1-7, 2026

On this edition of Living Classical with Tyler Kline: Losing his father and becoming a father, within the same stretch of time, led Daniel Kidane to write Sun Poem, a piece he’s called a memento for his son. Its title comes from Kamau Brathwaite’s poem of inheritance passed from grandfather to father to son.
Then: When everything in her life seemed in flux, Emma O’Halloran found herself trying to freeze moments so she wouldn’t lose them. how sweet the thought of you as infinite, for solo marimba and electronics, is built around a detuned delay that grows stronger over time, a piece she calls a love letter to the special people in our lives.
Music by Francesco de Grazia, Arielle Krebs, Kevin Lau, Kate Moore, Egidija Medekšaitė, Cecilia Livingston, Mark Dancigers, Phong Tran, Megan DiGeorgio, Camilla Caldwell, and Radiohead.
Featuring performances by guitarists Francesco de Grazia and Arielle Krebs; harpist Chelsea Lane; vocalist Laura Strickling with pianist Joy Schreier; pianist Miki Sawada; marimbist Adam Groh; violinist Camilla Caldwell; Poiesis Quartet; London Symphony Orchestra; Cobalt Duo; NOW Ensemble; Duo Entre-Nous; and Wild Rumpus.
